Ferry Operator Switch Provokes Protests

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KCBS) -- A labor dispute between new Alcatraz ferry operators and labor unions boiled over this morning at a Pier 31-and-a-half, landing six people in jail. Hornblower Cruises now operates the ferries, taking over a National Park Service contract from Blue and Gold Fleet. The move also transferred the contract from a union to a non-union organization.
